For the 7th consecutive year, the Japan Olive Oil Prize 2019 international competition took place between the 8th and 12th of April 2019, in the city of Tokyo, Japan.
This particular international competition is implemented under the sponsorship of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan, featuring very high quality criteria for selecting and awarding olive oil, based on the International Olive Oil Council and their international taste regulations and standards.
The tasting selection was done by blind tasting from expert panel tasters of international prestige and stature.
There was a large participation of olive oil from many oil producing countries worldwide like Australia, China, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, U.S. etc.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Estates acquired a very high score (9,00 -9,49 / 10 points) and was awarded the GOLD MEDAL for the Gemstone Flavored Blend Evoo, constituting a great honor and recognition for our effort in the achievement of high quality during the last 27 years.
Also, Gemstone Flavored Blend olive oil was awarded the Best Flavored EVOO of this year’s competition.
